Arumbu Tamil School

Arumbu Tamizh Palli (ARUMBU) is the first and currently the only Tamizh Language school in Stamford, CT.  The school was initiated in 2014 by Keetha Sivamohan and Durga JaiShiva with the intention of teaching the Tamizh Language to children living in and around Fairfield and Westchester counties.  The initial class had an enrolment of just over 10 students.  Over the past 4 years, the enrolment has increased to over 45 students. The school has since been operating with the help of parent volunteers.

ARUMBU is affiliated with the American Tamil Academy (ATA) and follow their syllabus.   More information about American Tamil Academy can be found at: http://www.amtaac.org.

ARUMBU classes are scheduled to run weekly. Classes for the academic year 2018-19 are scheduled between 7 PM to 8 PM every Friday at DOMUS (83 Lockwood Ave, Stamford, CT 06902). ARUMBU follows the Stamford Public Schools Calendar and classes run from September to June.
